Sleeping Bag Testimonials

Crescent Lake -20 Degree - The Crescent Lake -20 degree bag is simply amazing. This mummy bag is roomy and comfortable. The "long" fits my 6'2" frame perfectly and the loft added an additional layer of cushion that lulled me to sleep. The second test for warmth was in the Utah wilderness at an elevation of 9,000 feet. The temperatures dipped down into the teens and I felt NONE of it!!!! I usually sleep with a beanie hat on to keep my bald head from losing all my heat. I'm happy to say I abandoned the hat and cinched down the mummy bag until only my face was visible. Warm, warmer, warmest!!! My exposed face was literally freezing, but my t-shirt adorned body was toasty warm. I will never freeze again with the Crescent Lake -20 degree bag! Thank you for meeting and beating my expectations with a sweet bag. I recommend Alps Mountaineering to everyone who asks and some that don't!
Preston B.

Clearwater 35 Degree Bag - I was skeptical about the rating of the bag because most manufacturers over judge bags by 5-10 degrees, so I took a fleece liner. I think you have the rating of this bag dead on.

Blue Ridge 20 Degree Wide Sleeping Bag - "This is the most comfortable mummy bag I've ever tried . . . I own a Kelty +10 and this bag is warmer!" Rick C.

Silver Springs II - I bought an ALPS mummy sleeping bag with the HoloFill2 (i think it was the Silver Springs II) 4 or 5 years ago and I have been using it ever since. I have used it below the 20 degrees rating and it still works great, except for my cold feet. I use it about 10 times a year, usually 3-4 days and this bag is the most versatile I have used, although not too good when its hot. The quality construction is superb, and if it ever fails I will buy another Alps bag. Thanks for the great gear, Brian
